Credentials

On the record.

I have spent fifteen years in publishing, compliance, business development and marketing. In that time I founded Legal Desire Media, now among the most read legal industry insight titles with more than three million readers a month, and Fashion Law Journal. Through Legal Desire I track law firm deals and transactions across global markets, from M&A and finance to capital markets and investments, and I built DealDatabase to turn thousands of those published deal announcements into structured market intelligence for law firms, BD teams, recruiters and in-house teams. I have worked closely with over fifty global brands, influencers and law firms across practice areas, helping small firms build a brand, reach the clients they actually want and grow the practice: brand setup, industry compliance, their digital properties, business development goals and corporate communications.

I hold a Master of Laws and a Bachelor of Laws. Alongside the publishing, I have delivered more than a hundred lectures, talks and panels as a guest lecturer, speaker and panellist on legal technology, business development for lawyers and firms, and fashion law. I am the author of three published books on fashion law and forensics, my research has appeared in international journals, and the work has been recognised and awarded on global stages by government and independent institutions. I work from Dubai and Delhi, with clients worldwide.

Legal Desire

DealDatabase

The Legal Desire deal desk, made searchable. I built DealDatabase to turn thousands of published deal announcements into structured market intelligence: who advised on each transaction and in what role, the named deal teams with seniority, practice and office, the clients and counterparties, disclosed deal values, sectors and jurisdictions. Every record links back to the original announcement on Legal Desire.

Books

Two books, written for people who have to apply the law.

Both came out of the same frustration: the subject was being taught in the abstract when the people who needed it were trying to advise a client on Monday.

Book 01

A Practical Guide to Fashion Law

A working guide to the legal issues that arise in the fashion business: intellectual property and design protection, counterfeiting, licensing, advertising and influencer work, manufacturing and supply, and the contracts that sit underneath all of it.

Sole author. ISBN 978-0-578-38003-2. Also available in a second edition.

Book 02

The Guide to Forensics & Indian Law

Investigating Crimes in the 21st Century. Where forensic science meets Indian criminal procedure and evidence: what the techniques actually establish, how findings are handled by investigators and courts, and where the two disciplines misunderstand each other.

Co-authored with Mahipal Singh Sankhla and Kapil Parihar.

Grow your practice

Growth for law firms and legal teams, from someone whose titles are read by three million people a month.

01

Business development

Positioning, target lists, outreach that reads like a person wrote it, and a pipeline you can actually see.

02

SEO and AEO

Ranking in search, and being the answer AI assistants cite. Two disciplines now, handled as one.

03

Web design and development

Fast, credible sites for firms that want to be found for the work they actually want, built to convert an enquiry.

04

Lead generation

Calculators, guides, gated tools and intake flows that turn readers into conversations, with attribution.

05

Content and editorial

Thought leadership people finish reading. Written, edited and distributed through two publications and their newsletters.

If you advise on transactions, your deals are part of your marketing. Claim your lawyer or firm profile on DealDatabase and submit deals as they close, so the work you advised on becomes a credential clients, recruiters and peers can actually find.

Automation & tools

Automations and tools for lawyers, firms and in-house teams.

Not software for its own sake. Specific systems that remove the recurring hour, the re-typed document and the deadline nobody diarised. Usually delivered in days, not procurement cycles.

01

Client intake and onboarding

Firms

Forms that validate, run the conflict check, route by matter type, acknowledge the client and create the record.

02

CRM and pipeline

Firms

One place for every enquiry, referral and matter, with follow-ups that fire themselves and a pipeline partners actually look at.

03

AI calling and voice agents

Firms

Inbound intake, appointment booking and follow-up calls handled by a voice agent, with every call transcribed and logged.

04

Document assembly and drafting

Firms · In-house

Your templates, your clauses, generated from a short questionnaire. AI-assisted where it helps, verified wherever it touches authority.

05

Note-taking and meeting capture

Firms · In-house

Calls and meetings captured, summarised and filed to the matter, with actions extracted and assigned.

06

Knowledge bases and research tools

Firms · In-house

Precedents, matter histories and market data, searchable and tagged, built to answer one question properly.

07

Deadline and obligation engines

In-house

Every recurring filing, renewal and limitation date in one register, alerting the right person at thirty, seven and one day.

08

Reporting and matter dashboards

In-house

Live views of spend, status and exposure for general counsel who are tired of asking for a spreadsheet.

09

AI adoption, done carefully

Firms · In-house

Where AI genuinely helps in a legal workflow, where it does not, and the guardrails that keep it from inventing a citation.

Teaching & speaking

Two thousand learners. A hundred rooms.

I have taught more than 2,000 learners in fashion law and legal technology through workshops, masterclasses and guest sessions, and delivered over a hundred lectures, talks and panels as a guest lecturer, speaker and panellist.

I speak on fashion law, legal technology, business development for lawyers and firms, and the business of specialist media. I am available for guest sessions, panels and executive teaching.
